There is nothing we disliked about this Campground. We had a great time. Everyone was pleasant from the staff to the long term residents to the short term campers like us. The place is gorgeous. The bathhouse was on the older side but in perfect working order and extremely clean. The laundry room was similar but the machines were nice. The wifi for us worked perfectly. We aren't ones to stream movies or videos all day but it did what we needed it to. They had a fire going at the park at sunset in the evening. The sunsets by the way are beautiful over the river. We will be back for sure. If you guys get the bumper stickers made be sure to send me one.

Love Hickory Point! The staff is friendly and helpful. The other guests are friendly. The park has trees and you can't beat the location. Love sitting by the river and watching the dolphins swim by, not to mention the fabulous sunsets. Great restaurants, shopping and beaches nearby. Can't wait to go back next year.

Had a wonderful time and waterfront site! Staff is so accommodating and helpful. Close to downtown Tarpoon Springs. Perfect place to relax and watch the world go by or head into town and shop then of course eat terrific Greek food! The chairs on the beach make for a wonderful place to watch the sunsets

Our site, #206, was exceptionally nice. Park manager Wendy was very helpful and friendly. Other sites in park were a bit tight for our taste.

Agree with the previous comment.... 'We stayed because we'd paid....' This is not really a campground, it's primarily an extended stay RV and mobile home park. The property itself is a beautiful piece of land. Nice waterfront with lots of old oaks. It's nice that they left the waterfront property as a communal area with a boat dock, fire pit, horseshoe area, and other activities available. The sites themselves are tiny and expensive. There are lots of rules and you have to sign that you have read good and agree to them all. Campfires are permitted, but you have to rent a fire pit. There is no TV cable provided (our night here was planned as our luxurious campground night). There is no pool. The bathhouse (notice the singular use of bathhouse) while clean, is well hidden, tiny, dark, out-of-date, and is not air-conditioned or heated. Would have been a long walk from the other end of the park. There was ample lukewarm water in the shower. Since the temperature this day was in the low 50s, it made for a brisk start to my day. Brrrr.

I stayed for a month and loved the peace and tranquility of this park. I was on my own and felt safe and the neighbors were all friendly and hospitable. If I needed anything the maintenance man Ernie was a great help and always willing to help with a smile. The views on the river were spectacular. I have made a reservation for March 2020.

Just spent three days here. Wonderful is probably the best way to describe our experience. Easy spots to back in to. Hook ups are close together and there is 30 and 50 amps on every pole. The power was good and water pressure was acceptable even in the morning and evening hours. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely return and recommend.

We are first time campers and have a brand new motor coach. We chose Hickory Point for our first camping experience. We arrived late (after office hours) but found management waiting for us. They helped us with our hookups and let us pick a beautiful site. Grounds are immaculate, extremely pet friendly, view of the water and plenty of shade. Teriffic first time experience and can't wait to go back!!! Staff is personable, professional, friendly and extremely helpful!Thank you Hickory Point. Jim & Sandi

We visited Hickory Point RV Park in March 2019 and had a wonderful stay. The park is well maintained, full hookups, dockside fishing, slips for boats if you come with a boat, and boat ramp for launching. The management is friendly and gave us some good recommendations for entertainment and dining. The owner of the park keeps the park in the comfort and feel of a southern FL life. Nice trees, palms, and crushed shell pads. HPRVP has a dog run/park for your pets. There is no trash on the streets or around campers or permanent homes. While you are there, there are plenty of parks to visit. Some of these parks have great fishing. You are about a 15min. drive to downtown Tarpon Springs. The downtown has many good restaurants and excursion tours. We took the Spongarama 2-hr boat tour. The tour takes you out to an island where you can shell for about 30. Min. Then you go dolphin seeing. The crew was great, and the captain is jovial. Also, if you do like to fish there is a bait shop a few miles down the road. Two nice parks in the area are the Aciote River Park and Key Vista Nature Park. Both are a must visit if you like a relaxing time.

This would be a nice place for long term but it is not great for short term. There was a car parked in our spot and when I asked about it I was told they do not usually rent our spot....then please do not take someone's money if you are not going to offer what is posted on your website. We even had to pay more money for the spot as they said it was a premium spot. We didn't even have space next to our RV to set up chairs and watch our outdoor tv. While the staff was not not helpful the residents are friendly. Nice area to put in a boat. The common area did not have 1/2 the amenities they list on their website.

Very friendly staff. Well kept RV Park on the water. Pet friendly with plenty of trees and grass areas. Nice small boat launch on property but also a larger launch less then a mile away. Good dock space with water to rinse/flush your boat. Also had 110vac to charge your batteries. Owner was very friendly as well. Full hookups with a range of sites. Everyone we met was very friendly. Enjoyed our stay and will plan on coming back.

This is tucked away, but on the gulf. Didnt have a chance to talk to anyone, but looks darling. Small private beach, boat dock, and fishing. I seen kayaks as well. Would like if they had more info. But, I wouldn't mind living there!

Kitschy, camp and cool. This little gem is any tourist's dream getaway. They have RV spaces where you can overlook the water facing west and view the sunset through your windshield or take one of the many lawn chairs and hang out with fellow travelers and enjoy an adult beverage. I'm lax about taking pictures but here the place demanded I get the camera out. If you stop by, say hi to the pet pig named Moosh.

Nice place for a few days. Need more chairs near beach. Lots and lots of ants and mosquitoes. View near water is great. Bathrooms need updating. New washers and dryers needed. Staff very nice and friendly.

We only live 20 minutes away, but camping there makes us feel like we are on vacation. Great campground right on the Anclote River. Patty, the manager, is great! Bunch to do within miles of campground.

My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at Hickory Point RV park. We stayed on a waterfront site which we thoroughly enjoyed. The only problem I have with Hickory Point RV Park is a number of their sites have the hook ups on the passenger side of the RV. If you back in with a 5th wheel or a tow behind trailer, you must run your hook ups under the RV to the opposite side. The staff does let you know up front about the hook ups so you can have long enough sewer hose, water hose and electrical hook ups. The problem is you have to walk over these lines and hoses constantly. The RV park staff was very pleasant. The park itself was quite and peaceful. My wife and I enjoyed sitting beside the river watching boats go up and down the river. The hook ups being on the wrong side is the only problem in my opinion with Hickory Point RV Park.Hickory Point is close to the Sponge Docks and downtown shopping. We enjoyed both Miss Vicki's and Davidson's restaurants and bars. They are both on the river and close to the RV park. They have really good food and cold beer. The atmosphere is wonderful.

Hickory Point is a nice RV park in Tarpon. We love the Sponge Docks which are only 10 min away and the beach at Fred Howard park is only about 15 min away. Both require $5 parking fees. Love the new dog run area at Hickory, the river access area is nice with chairs, volleyball and other games. The thing that would make this RV park 5 stars is if the pads were concrete. They are shells and during the times we visit, it rains daily making it impossible to keep the outside and even inside of the RV clean.

Hickory point will kick you out if you are loud 1 week after the fact and not let you know anything even if you have pre paid and been a guest in the past with no problems they are truly the worst people we have ever delt with and would recommend no one use their high priced sites. They will even send you away with 3 kids and 2 dogs with no were else to go when you are waiting to close on your new house no familys should have to ever deal with their pettiness hope this will detour other familys

This is my one of our favorite campgrounds we have ever visited. We travelled over 1800 in early August and stayed in numerous campgrounds, only to come home the next w end and find Hickory Point. Its only 15 miles from us living in Lutz. almost didn't want to leave a view causing more people to visit and make it harder for us to find vacancies :)The two ladies running the campground are two of the sweetest people I have ever met. They have always gone way over and above what is expected. They are so kind and helpful, a gift card for dinner is in order for them the next time we visit.

My boyfriend and I stayed here a few weeks ago when I came down to visit my family. This site is beautiful- sits right on the water and the people of the community are so friendly. Definitely a great place to stay! The only thing that would have made this perfect would be a fence separating the neighboring community.

The park is nice and quiet. spaces are tight. Shade is ok.Now we were there when it was 90 degrees outside. You could not breathe in the bathrooms. Yes they were clean but omg so hot!. I could not use the showers I would have had more trouble breathing. Need A/C or big huge fans I was very dissapointed there was no ice machine..

We recently stayed for a weekend while we had a booth at the Tarpon Springs Art Festival. We typically dont stay at private parks and enjoy a natural setting but I have to say that this was a very pleasant place to stay. Great atmosphere, great sunsets, and great staff. We also met several of the permanent residents around the community fire ring one evening and everyone we met was very friendly, welcoming and hospitable. As mentioned by other reviewers, music could be heard in the distance from Miss Vickis, down the river, but we found it rather enchanting. Theres a good chance well be back for next years Art Festival.

Excellent river front sites, if you're in the interior, older modular homes but all visitors were friendly, close to town and reasinable rates. Only negative at check in no hello but made sure we were aware of WHAT NOT TO DO!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much! Our view was outstanding and the campground was pristine. I just wished they had a disability or military discount other than that it was perfect. Hope to be back soon! Thank you Hickory Point for our memorable pleasant stay!!!

Its a beautiful setting, but a few words of caution. One - I paid for a waterfront site. I booked it online and asked in the online special requests to ensure that I was on the sea wall. Instead we were placed in the very last waterfront lot. We had a view, but it was looking over our neighbors heads. We had no upgraded patio because again, ours was situated directly behind our neighbors. We were not on the sea wall. We are not what I consider waterfront. We arrived after dark so it wasnt until the next morning I noticed this. When I said something to the young woman at the office I was told oh, we dont look at those online comments, but I guess you can move sites if you want. I had no desire to waste time moving sites. Its an incredible inconvenience and we had no time to do that. At no time after this did the owner attempt to contact me or make it right. I am extremely disappointed in this and feel they cheated me out of the waterfront money. Two - these sites were apparently designed for a class a to pull in forward, as water, sewer, and electric hookups were all on the wrong side. Had I known, I would have ensured I brought long enough extensions for my water and sewer. As it was I could not hook up to the sewer. Again, its a beautiful setting. The shower/bathrooms were clean and functional. The on site laundry room was a bonus. I was disappointed there was no on site place to buy ice or anything else. For the price I am EXTREMELY disappointed in what I received.

Great campground, great office attendants, great location!! Convenient laundry facility. Beautiful sitting area/fire ring area. We have stayed in the campground while working at Duke (Anclote) 2013 and again in 2018. Highly recommend. I just hope the snowbirds dont take over like other fl locations.

Hickory point Rv park has the worst customer service and the owner Ben is very judge mental they dont care about their customers all they care about is their annually returning customers I would not recommend this place to anybody that has a family and their rates are super high for what you get

We stayed here for 3 nights. The park is in a really nice spot, even if you don't spring for a water front spot the rest of the park is nice. Large, fenced in dog park. Laundry facilities and some nice picnic areas near the water. You can walk to a large park with a boat launch, small restaurant and beach. There is nothing else within walking distance so be warned. You are a short uber trip to Down town Tarpon Springs and the sponge docks. The park is quiet and we had no issues while we were there. I would recommend and we will be back whenever we are in the area :)

First I will say, the girl at the front office was VERY nice.. But our complaint is, we made our reservations in January. paid for 2 WATER FRONT sites we camp with another family. When we arrived and checked in we were given the 2 sites at the very end of the water front. First let me start by saying, neither one of us have a class A motorhome, but the waterfront sites we were given were designed for one. So unless you have a little extra power cord and sewer hose to go under your trailer to reach wrong side, then your out of luck, and the most inconvenient thing ever. so every time we walked out of the trailer. we had to step over our sewer hose..no fun. and with the slide open, you had about a foot between the slide and bushes. we have a 40ft 5th wheel. Second, our water view was a joke. there was a seawall that went all the way down the waterfront sites but stopped at ours. we were not able to sit on the pavers on the seawall near the water, nope. ours was off to the side. the area directly in front of ours , belonged to the people who lived in the house right next door, in fact. the dock that was there, was the neighbor.. I dont think we should have been charged for water front.. Maybe water view at best..But even with a water view, the sites are not designed for a 5th wheel, definitely not a 40ft with 3 slides. but they crammed us on there anyways. Mind you, they got our money. We went to the office to dispute our issues and tho the girl was SUPER nice ,BUT she was not allowed to give us a refund/discount. We were a bit disappointed that most of the view we had. was that of the neighbor that lived next door. His trucks blocked any water view cause he parked in his backyard which is his yard to do so. and his yard was a junk yard at best..If we were refunded some money, or given a free night, we may return and or reccomend, but as of now. no way.

The only complaint is no pool. You have to pay $2.00 per day to go down the road 7 miles to KOA for a pool. Everything else a wonderful.
