I am the POA for an 80 year old owner of a resident of Cocheco River Estates, owned by Toy's Manufactured Housing. Many residents there believe that Toy's Manufacturing will retaliate by interfering with the sale of their homes if they don't use them as their real estate agent. Toy's Manufacturing has residents who want to sell sign an agreement to give them a percentage of the sale amount. For this same percentage, the owner, could use someone who is a licensed real estate agent. As they are not licensed real estate agents, they use OwnerEntry.com to list the home, OwnerEntry.com is intended for use by owners selling their homes the assistance of a real estate agent. This site states that the owner only needs to pay a "small flat fee", NOT a percentage of the sale amount. The agreement represents a conflict of interest as Toy's Manufacturing continues collecting rent on the land from the owner until the house is sold, even if the elderly person can no longer live there because their health has declined to a point where they require assisted living..
