Love it there. It is quiet and everyone is so professional and courteous. This was our second year of staying a month at a time. We plan to go back next year as well.

It was a good place to camp with the grandkids, close to home, inexpensive, with a pool.

This place is great! It has a convenient boat launch, clean bathrooms, and a fantastic board walk that takes you out above the bayou with great views of the bayou and the untouched shoreline under the canopy of giant cypress trees.

The Mobile County River Delta Marina, also known as Dead Lake Marina, is an excellent place to enjoy a day on the water, camping, fishing, and time near the Mobile-Tensaw Delta. The marina has an excellent set of boat launches that are easy to get in and out of (remember to bring cash for the $3 boat launch fee as they don't accept card payment), a nicely apportioned fish cleaning station, ample parking, clean bathrooms, and a very nice pavilion that can be reserved for a fee to accommodate larger groups. There's also a long boardwalk that goes out over Dead Lake, a backwater bayou full of Cypress knees, Native American middens, herons, and fish. I haven't camped (rv'ed) at the park but the guests that do seem to be very happy. Dead Lake is great fishing but can also serve as a boat launch for those wanting to explore the western reaches of the Mobile-Tensaw Delta - America's Amazon! The park staff are very accommodating and it feels like a well maintained and safe environment. Kudos to the County of Mobile for the good work in revitalizing this resource.

The ramps could use a little work and they need to put some cleats on the dock to tie to, but all in all it's a nice place

This was our first camping trip in our first RV. As such, we really don't have anything to compare it to. Staff was friendly even though she was swamped with people checking in and out.Campground is in sight of an interstate but noise level was not an issue. In ground pool was nice but it was small and designed more with kids in mind. Could have used a few more lounge chairs and a good skimming. Fishing pier is a narrow floating dock that sways back and forth as you move or walk. Really too narrow for someone to get around someone fishing off of it. There are gators and I wouldn't recommend swimming in the small pond or the river !Campsites were awesome. Well maintained, clean and have all of the hookups on each site.

Educational, hands-on learning experience for children and adults! Also features informative (in the delta) film about the five Rivers and how we can make a difference in caring for it. Very well done.

VERY clean! Great area to walk pets. Lots are almost level. Trees on almost half the lots & some without. Area dedicated to monthly renting.

The 'walking trail' which was a boardwalk over the river, was cool until it flooded, along with the boat launch, some boats, and half of the land for most of our stay. We almost got stuck in this part for how much the water rose and they never mentioned anything about it. Clean facilities but the guard shack was not secure and anyone and everyone could come in. They were also fairly rude (office employees) so needless to say, I wouldn't come back

Old outpost vibe here for sure. Sit on the back deck and look down into the vast valley. Pick up an old-timey toy as a gift, or a psperback book on folk lure. Worth the stop.

The staff is so nice...EVERYTHING about this place is amazing. It's close to the interstate for easy access to town and the nature boardwalk is so peaceful. I just hate we have to leave after 30 days! We will be back though.

Close to the Interstate but still far enough away to provide tranquility and silence. The staff is very nice and the area is very clean and well maintained. The floating fishing dock is nice also.

I had a horrible experience here. It started when I made my reservation IN PERSON, and called the following 2 days to confirm, yet when we pulled in around 8 that night they had no record of my reservation anywhere. Our spot had been given to someone else already staying in the park who 'did not like where they were and wanted to switch spots'! After about an hour and many phone calls we were given a spot and car tags that said we were good through our check out date of the 7th, a month later. The next day while looking through the brochure, I found out that they have an extended stay part of the park where you can stay 90 days , that we were not told about. I called to ask about moving to that section, I was told that once you park on one side you can not move to the other side without leaving for 30 days. And then they told us we had to be out by the 6th instead of the 7th because the man working out front at night 'doesn't have all the correct information '. Then my brother called and was told we had to be put by 11pm. He asked this 3 times. Well fast forward to the 6th and they start calling and telling me that no its 11 am that we have to be out and if not we will not get our deposit back. I will never camp here again .

Great place for family outings with a swimming pool. $150.00 to reserve the welcome center for all day. Air conditioning, clean restrooms, kitchen, folding tables\chairs inside, picnic tables and grill outside right next to the boat launch. Direct access to a long board walk along the lake. The kids loved looking at turtles and we seen one 5' gator. The down side is that the swimming pool is 150 - 200 yards from the welcome center.

Good boat launch, $3 launch fee. Parking lot is monitored. Bait for sale. Camping/fishing store. They do not take cards of any type, bring cash. The closest places to get cash are gas stations on hwy 43.

This is the most strict campgrounds I've ever stayed at. The campgrounds where empty except for my family totalling about 10 of us on three sites maybe one or two other campers that came and gone. The security guard would drive around with his breaks squealing very loudly and check on us about every half hour we all felt harassed. Other than that the bathrooms where pretty clean but smelled of very strong chemicals I took a shower right after they cleaned and had a hard time catching my breath the rest of the day.
