Great and I had the best campsite 50' from the river. Be prepared for yellow flies, watch out for ticks, including lone star ticks. They need possums to eat the ticks. Water was great, Sunrise was beautiful

Very cute little park. The trails are beautifully cleared and wide. Camp sites have decent privacy. We saw a piebald deer, loads of squirrels, birds, butterflies, turtles and fish. My cell phone maintained reception. Showers are clean. Overall, I had a great time. I do wish there were laundry facilities, but it doesn't break the experience for me.

Great, well kept campground. Gate closes at 9, but you can get in with a code. The kayak reservations are really cheap for daily rental, and they even do bike rentals. What was super cool was the white squirrels. The rangers were very nice and helpful, and pointed us to all the local nature Scenic places to visit. I posted a photo of the communal fire pit, which is a cool bonus to our private fire pit.

Great little Park. Quiet with some basics. Set on the confluence of two rivers, which offer boating of all sorts. There are serval picnic areas some basic facilities, and a little jungle gym. There is also a nice little drive and hike in the nicely manicured flat land. There are camping facilities as well.

A bit on the rustic side, in a good way! The campground is a single U loop off the main park road, not paved - compact sand and pine needles. Only 30 sites under the pine trees and palmettos, with the river steps away. Staff is great and facilities nice (bath house, boat launch, multi-use trails). Neighbors were friendly and well behaved. Another great stop along the Big Bend Coastal Trail.

Woodsy park between two rivers. They have leucistic (white) squirrels here! The rv sites are nicely spaced out, but the road is rough.

Superior spot near the river. Very well managed and maintained. Around $10/ night. Hiking trails. Keep your food inside at all times. The squirrels ate out of control!

A nice little quiet park That we enjoyed visiting twice a year. The highlight of this past Winter was the white deer with her young. There are hiking trails which are nice and easy to walk. Or enjoy a nice walk along the river. They do have a play area for children. Also there are public restrooms.

Very nice state park with well managed natural habitats (pine flatwood) with abundant wildlife. Lots of short hiking trails throughout the park. One of my favorite state parks to go to.

Nice and quiet, mostly. Not much to do but relax. Really enjoyed the squirrels, they have white ones! Friend said men's bathroom always smelled of urine, women's was clean.

I arrived at the ranger station and ignorantly asked the ranger if I may be able to view a manatee here. Being from Minnesota I was unsure of the best spot for manatee viewing. He directed me towards Wakulla springs (very good boat tour) and gave me all kinds of information on this park and what not. I believe his badge read Snelling on it. Very friendly and helpful man. This park was small and lovely though. Quiet. A few birds to watch and a few snakes to watch out for. Nice views.

This is the real Florida. Great place to land a boat for a picnic after fishing and water skiing. The marshes are thriving breeding grounds for wildlife. The waters are brackish and calm which makes it great for boating and young children. You can enjoy all the forgotten coast has to offer.

We were on a field trip and learned so much pre historical times including how to make a teepee and a fire from scratch. We also learned many things about fossils and learning about their environment.

Camp sites are EXTREMELY SMALL. You are right on top of your neighbors. We didnt have room for a vehicle and two tents. Had to put one tent in the road. The smell of the dumpster was a consistent smack in the face.

I've been coming here for a few years now and for some reason, this year, it seemed like many of the guests and other campers were really loud. It was kind of disappointing. Maybe next year will be better.

Staff was amazing. Bathrooms were kept so very clean. If only rating the yellow flies would keep them away.. they were literally the only negative on our trip. LOVED the proximity to the beach. We went to alligator point so we could hit the tiki bar too. Awesome trip. We loved it.

Very nice park, the white squirrels were very cool to see, and quite the treat if you see a white deer. The river looks more like a large bayou and is actually brakish.

Beautiful park...if you have a big RV, it's kind of tight in some spots...good backing skills would help! Very nice and quiet, and oh my goodness, the stars we saw in the night sky were spectacular since there was no light pollution. Hiking trails are plentiful...surrounded by National Forests.

My husband and I are traveling in a 28 foot Class C - no problem getting into our site. It was quiet and our site had privacy from the other campsites. We received a senior citizen discount of 50 percent. Great place to stop and rest!

Staff was awesome and the property is perfect for biking, walking, kayaking hiking or just relaxing. Thanks for all the hard work that goes into keeping our states most beautiful properties natural and open to the public. I seen a white squirrel and a ton of deer but will be back to see the elusive white deer. Try to reserve a spot as walkins are tough but not impossible.
